Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
